Love Mixed Media Layout

Hola Beautiful Crafters,

Hope you are all well!

With Yellow being my favourite color, I am sharing with you all a mixed media layout inspired by Lindy's Gang's August mood-board challenge.

I used pattern paper from Dress My Craft's Dream Door Collection and a lot of Prima Marketing's Re-Design flower molds.

To begin with I mixed the Yodeling Yellow magical shaker with some light paste and added some texture through a floral net stencil. Next I colored the clay molds of flowers and leaves using Oom pah pah pink, yodeling yellow and time travel teal respectively from Lindy's Gang.

I also colored my art stones with the same teal color before adhering them onto my layout. Here are some close-ups -

I hope you liked this layout and are inspired to make your own simple layout like this one.

Until next time
XOXO
JK

Fly High Mixed Media Panel

Hello Beautiful Crafters,

Hope you are all well!

Today I am sharing with you all a mixed media panel I created, inspired by the Art Recipe August Mood-board by Finnabair.

As per the mood board, I chose the colors Blue, Purple and a hint of Silver on my embellishments. I created this composition on a MDF panel. I have used stencils, molds, metal charms, colors, art stones and glitter from Finnabair to form this composition. The focal image is from the paper dolls collection by Tim Holtz.

Here are some close-ups -

You can watch the video tutorial for this here -

Hope you liked this mixed media panel full of dreams and beauty and it inspires you to make one of your own.

Until next time
XOXO
JK

Forever And Always - Mixed Media Layout

Hola crafty peeps,

I made a love theme mixed media layout for you all to learn with a bonus YouTube Video tutorial for the same. With everyone using pinks and reds this love season, I wanted to break the rules and use a different palette altogether. So, I used the beautiful blues and browns.

I have used black designer paper for my first layer and a vintage brown for my main layout layer. I added teal blue and bluish grey colors in the background of the focal image along with some texture paste with stenciling and lots of stamping here and there.

I embellished with mulberry flowers both roses and poppies along with some flourish and leaves die cuts. I also used some natural jute cord behind my floral arrangements to add some more depth and interest. Here are some detailed images -

And now finally time to learn how to create this mixed media layout. Here's the complete start to finish process video on the same for you -

Hope you all enjoyed watching the video tutorial and will create your own layouts soon.

Until Next Time
XOXO

JK
