Love Mixed Media Layout

Hola Beautiful Crafters,

Hope you are all well!

With Yellow being my favourite color, I am sharing with you all a mixed media layout inspired by Lindy's Gang's August mood-board challenge.

I used pattern paper from Dress My Craft's Dream Door Collection and a lot of Prima Marketing's Re-Design flower molds.

To begin with I mixed the Yodeling Yellow magical shaker with some light paste and added some texture through a floral net stencil. Next I colored the clay molds of flowers and leaves using Oom pah pah pink, yodeling yellow and time travel teal respectively from Lindy's Gang.

I also colored my art stones with the same teal color before adhering them onto my layout. Here are some close-ups -

I hope you liked this layout and are inspired to make your own simple layout like this one.

Until next time
XOXO
JK

Fly High Mixed Media Panel

Hello Beautiful Crafters,

Hope you are all well!

Today I am sharing with you all a mixed media panel I created, inspired by the Art Recipe August Mood-board by Finnabair.

As per the mood board, I chose the colors Blue, Purple and a hint of Silver on my embellishments. I created this composition on a MDF panel. I have used stencils, molds, metal charms, colors, art stones and glitter from Finnabair to form this composition. The focal image is from the paper dolls collection by Tim Holtz.

Here are some close-ups -

You can watch the video tutorial for this here -

Hope you liked this mixed media panel full of dreams and beauty and it inspires you to make one of your own.

Follow Your Dreams | Mixed Media Layout

Hola crafty peeps,

Hope you are all well!

Today I am sharing a very near to my heart mixed media layout. I never knew this layout would turn out so beautiful 'coz sometimes our ideas are good but don't turn out well. This layout turned out much more amazing than I had imagined it.

I used a big window frame and broke its shutters to adhere as per my design. I also gave it a distressed effect with different shades of green. I used a lot of fussy cut elements from Mintay's Secret Place paper pack along with my handmade foamiran flowers. I topped the whole composition with a simple chipboard sentiment "Hello" which meant me saying hello to my beautiful dreams.

Let's take a closer look -

Mixed Media Monochrome Canvas

Hello My Beautiful Crafters,

Hope you all are well!
I am sharing with you all a very unique triangular mixed media canvas in monochrome colors.
I have tried to keep the rawness of the embellishments intact in terms of the monochrome tone i wanted to achieve.

I have used a lot of metal embellishments along with tree barks and tons of art stones. I used metallic paints to give this monochromatic shade to my canvas. And everything came together with the vintage photo I added to complete the layout.

Here's a closer look -

Here's the video tutorial in case you want to see the complete process -

I hope you liked the project as much as I enjoyed making it.

Until Next Time
XOXO

Live Your Dreams - Mixed Media Layout

Hello beautiful crafters,

Today, I have designed a mixed media layout for you all based on Mixed Media Academy Challenge's June’s mood board – Pastel Summer challenge. I was so glad to be invited by Priya Mishra and the MMA team to guest design this month for their challenge blog.

Lets dive into the tutorial -
Step 1 – distress the edges of 12x12 pattern paper & ink using distress oxide ink. Add a coat of clear gesso on top.

Step 2 – Using crackle texture paste and stencil make a design here and there on the paper.

Step 3 – Smoosh some distress oxide inks in the shades of yellow and pink, on the craft mat. Spray some water on it and add the color using paint brush on the textured area.

Step 4 – Once dried, add some washi tape torn randomly.

Step 5 – Using a dark color distress oxide ink and another stencil make an impression over the washi tape. You may choose to stamp as well in this step.

Step 6 – Lastly, embellish using paper flowers, some fussy cut out flowers, some die cut out foliage along with bows made with satin twine.

Here are some close-ups –

I hope you liked this layout as much as I enjoyed making it. Don’t forget to participate in the June monthly challenge at MMA & stand a chance to win some exciting craft goodies.

Until Next Time

XOXO
