Doll Sculpture Ft. Sculptor Tex

Hola beautiful crafters,

Today i will be sharing my last DT project for expressions craft. I have created a doll sculpture using sculptor tex contour medium and cheese cloth available in the fabric pack.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the new sculptor tex medium from expressions craft. The end result is always breath taking with this medium. So without further a due, let's see how I made this sculpture.

Step 1 -  I created the base of the doll and painted it with red cherrywood chalk paint to give the brown skin tone.

Step 2 - I dipped my cheesecloth from the fabric pack in the sculptor tex medium and created a beautiful dress for the doll. I also made the bow on the dress with fabric dipped in sculptor tex.
after i let it dry over night, I covered the dress and dolls hair in black gesso.

Step 3 - Lastly once the gesso dried completely, I add metallic colors on the doll's dress as well as her face and arms. I used dry brushing just to highlight the peaks on the dress.

Here are some close-ups-

Hope you liked the project! Do tag us in your creations using sculptor tex medium.

Sorting Hat Sculptor

Hola crafty peeps,

I am back with a very exciting project for you all. I have created the sorting hat from the magical world of Harry Potter as an inspirational project for Expressions Craft Studio blog. Being a DT member it is always a personal challenge to create a project for fellow crafters which inspires them to use the new mediums and experiment with them. So, here I present to you the sorting hat made with the new IMMIX Sculptor Tex Medium.

I have used the sculptor tex medium and gauge from the fabric pack to give the desired shape and wrinkly look of it. She has colored it using black gesso and metallic paints in the shades browny rust and tuscan red. This medium is absolutely amazing and easy to work with. Once the medium is dry it is rock solid and holds the shape you mold your fabric in.

Here are some closer looks -

Hope you liked the project and are inspired to make one of yours as well. Do not forget to participate in the March monthly blog challenge 'Anything goes with Mediums' on Expressions' blog

Until Next Time
XOXO

Altered Mixed Media Frame

Hola crafty peeps,

I am here with an altered frame with a twist. The twist is that I have used MDF window shutters to create a picture space on the frame itself.

I have used the newly launched metallics form Expressions Craft Studio. The quality of these paints is just amazing. I loved the fluffy consistency of these colors and the sheen they have is brilliant. They work well on both black and white gesso without loosing the color and sheen. A total of 26 shades have been launched which you can buy from the website here.
I can go on and on about these beautiful colors but for now let's dig in to the project tutorial.

Step 1 - I covered my window and the frame with IMMIX heavy white gesso.

Step 2 - Using IMMIX texture paste and the newly launched brick stencil add the design around the frame.

Step 3 - Add some IMMIX crackle texture paste here and there and sprinkle some sprinkle glitz over it for some grungy texture.

Step 4 - Adhere all the required chipboards and cover them with white gesso. Also adhere the window shutters in its place.

Step 5 - I used the new launched chalk paint color red cherry wood and covered the brick area as far as possible.

Step 6 - I highlighted the bricks pattern using the new chalk paint color Military brown

Step 7 - Using the newly launched metallics in the color jungle green I covered all the chipboard branches

Step 8 - Finally add all the flowers around the shutters along with deco art atones. I also in the end used metallic colors mari gold and bronze moon to highlight the window and brick wall texture.

Here are some detailed pics -

I hope you liked this mixed media project using the newly launched products from expressions craft. Do tag me in your projects inspired from this one.

Until next time
